1. Call for Expanded Abstract Submission for Technical Oral Papers / Posters

This platform is ideal for researchers and practitioners from academia, research institutions, and water practitioners to communicate innovative knowledge on a topic within the six themes of the conference through oral or poster media. Oral and poster presentations are grouped together alongside other contributions by the Technical Committee based on the common theme. Oral presenters will each have 15 minutes for their talk with 5 minutes question time. Poster presentations will be displayed in a high-traffic area during the conference, giving authors the opportunity to present and discuss their work with other delegates in an informal setting. Oral presentations will run concurrently with other sessions so attendees can switch between rooms to attend specific presentations. Download the guideline for an abstract submission for an oral or poster presentation.

2. Call for Expanded Abstract Submission for Non-Technical Oral Papers / Posters

Whilst technical type submission follows a specific style, these formats are not always fitting to non-technical papers which deals with management, administrative and other non-technical topics. It is ideal for practitioners from various sectors to communicate management and administrative innovations, programmes, approaches, strategies, and learnings within the six themes of the conference through oral or poster media.

3. Call for Workshop or Forum Proposals

You are invited to submit a workshop or forum proposal if you would like to organise a session that is highly interactive, output orientated, and brings together a group of individuals to discuss a topic within one of the six conference sub-themes. Download the guideline for a workshop / forum proposal. Contributors may choose one of 2 types:

  • standard workshop format with individual presentations under management of the workshop facilitator – which allows for expanded presentation, deliberation, consultation and interactive discussion controlled by an experienced facilitator.
  • ignite style presentations with short talks based on fixed number of slides and short talks of 5 minutes per presenter. This format creates a stimulating and dynamic session in which the audience hears from a number of different speakers in short order and then has the opportunity to interact and engage in discussion, under the guidance of an experienced facilitator

4. Call for Case-and-Solution Proposal

A case and solution proposal should contain information about a specific water management challenge and case in a specific region. It emphasises the main challenges of the case and addresses the input that is needed to solve the case. By matching solutions to specific cases, questions are answered directly related to the challenges faced through the specific cases. Cases and solutions must be identified within one of the six conference themes. Download the guideline for a case-and-solution proposal.

5. Call for Short Video Submission

Short, original videos allow authors to take a creative, multi-media approach to presenting information about research, field activities or theoretical studies. Short videos are dynamic and offer abundant information in short spaces of time, which appeal to delegates with an appetite for maximum output combined with time-efficiency. Download the guideline for a short video submission.
